Server-side money math
Prices, totals and tender sums are computed and validated on the server. The client never sends a price.

Encrypted sessions, hashed PINs
AES-encrypted httpOnly cookies. Staff PINs are bcrypt-hashed and never returned by any API.

Immutable audit log
Every void, discount, payment edit and drawer movement is written down with a name and a timestamp.

Fraud controls built in
Waiters can settle but not discount. Voids and discounts over 20% need a manager PIN.

Works through outages
The waiter app keeps taking orders in airplane mode, then replays them when the connection returns.

Suspension pauses ordering; nothing is wiped. Reactivate and everything is where you left it.
